Client applications

The client application is used by end devices that operate outside the organisation’s network. Once registered, it routes all of the device’s DNS traffic to the unique DoH URL of an external zone, so the same rule sets apply to its queries as inside the network.

A device is registered with a one-time registration code issued to the user by an administrator in the portal. The code is 8 characters long and consists of uppercase letters and digits. Once verified, the device appears in the portal under Access control > Devices.

The application has no further settings. The policy applied to a device is determined solely by the configuration in the administration portal.
